Char Dham is a Hindu pilgrimage circuit in Uttarakhand, consisting of four holy abodes which are Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath & Badrinath. These four Hindu religious sites located in the Garhwal Himalaya ranges in Uttarakhand, draw devotees from India and around the world, all of them eager to attain salvation, or moksha, the ultimate state of liberation in Hinduism. Visiting the 4 Dham Temples in Uttarakhand is a unique experience because each of the dhams of this Hindu pilgrimage circuit are dedicated to a different deity, and have their own major significance.

Day 1 : HARIDWAR – BARKOT (220 KILOMETER / 6 TO 7 HOURS)
Welcome to Haridwar. You are greeted and assisted on arrival at Haridwar by Travel vaidya representative and proceed Chardham yatra via Mussoorie. En-route visit Kempty Fall and enjoy the beauty of Himalayas,(route may be change as per road condition & traffic) later drive straight to Barkot for night stay. Barkot Weather – Generally pleasant in summer, the temperature ranges from 25-30 degree Celsius, Winter : The Days are pleasantly cool but the nights are cold,temp ranges from 10 deg to 05 deg.
Day 2 : BARKOT – JANKICHATTI - YAMUNOTRI – BARKOT (6 Kms Trek)
Leave early morning for Janki Chatti from where a trek leads you to your first destination of Chardham yatra. A 6 kms trek via Hanuman Chatti and Phool Chatti invigorates an enthralling trip. On reaching the holy shrine, take a dip in Garam Kund and perform Puja at holy Temple dedicated to Yamunotri Ji. Hanuman Chatti, Surya Kund, Yamunotri Temple and Divya Shila are the main attractions here. Drive back to Barkot from Janki Chatti the very same day. Overnight stay at Barkot. Approx. charges for Pony: Per Person Rs. 1000 – 1500 Approx. charges for Doli : Per Person Rs. 3000 – 5000 Yamunotri Weather – In summer the maximum temp is 18 degrees and the minimum is 10 degrees celsius. The days are pleasantly cool but the nights are cold.
Day 3 : BARKOT – UTTARKASHI ( 85kms/ 4hrs)
To reach your next destination of Char Dham Yatra head for Uttarkashi ,On your way, do not miss out on attractions like Prakateshwar Caves (formed by limestone and dedicated to Lord Shiva). Make most of your time at Uttarkashi by visiting the temple of Lord Vishwanath , Overnight stay. Uttarkashi Weather – Generally hot in summer, the temperature ranges from 30-35 degree Celsius but nights is pleasant, Cold in winters.
Day 4 : UTTARKASHI – GANGOTRI – UTTARKASHI (100 KILOMETERS / 4 HOURS EACH SIDE)
Early morning breakfast at hotel and drive to Gangotri. Nestled in the magnificent Garhwal Himalayas, Gangotri is set at an altitude of 3048 m. Upon arrival at Gangotri take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Visit the Gangotri Temple. The 18th century's temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga is located near a sacred stone where King Bhagirathi worshipped Lord Shiva. Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot. The temple is an exquisite 20 ft. high structure made of white granite. After performing Pooja Late afternoon drive back to Uttarkashi. Dinner & Overnight stay at Uttarkashi. Gangotri Weather – The maximum temperature during summer can go up to 20° Celsius. Summer nights can get cooler with a minimum temperature of 10° Celsius. Light woolen clothes are required while visiting Gangotri during summer. Winter season is very chilly in Gangotri. Gangotri will be covered in sheets of snow during winter. Pilgrim centers remains closed throughout winter due to heavy snow falls.
Day 5 : UTTARKASHI – GUPTKASHI (220 Kilometers / 9 Hours) Meals Included : Breakfast & Dinner
Morning after breakfast, drive to Guptkashi via Moolgarh & Lambgoan. Enroute you can see the beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara. The Mandakini river comes from Kedarnath, drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi, visit Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptakashi. Check into the hotel arrival in Guptakashi. Overnight stay at Guptakashi. Guptkashi Weather – pleasant in summer, the temperature ranges from 25-30 degree Celsius. Cold in winters.
Day 6 : GUPTKASHI – SONPRAYAG - GAURIKUND - KEDARNATH (30KMS BY ROAD & 14 KMS TREK ONE WAY)
Meals Included : Breakfast & Dinner By Helicopter: Morning our driver will transfer you your prebook Helipad. When you return back our car will drop you at Hotel for rest. (Note: Helicopter ticket is not included in this package). By Trek: Though it is difficult to go up and down from Sonprayag on the same day by trek. But it can be done if you take ponies or helicopter while going to Kedarnath. Do coordinate well with driver, as due to parking issue driver cannot stay at Sonprayag also network issue is also there. Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, toiletries and clothes. After Reaching at kedarnath, Check into hotel at kedarnath. Dinner and overnight stay at kedarnath. Approx. charges for Pony: Rs. 3000 - 4000/ Per Person Approx. charges for Doli : Rs. 4000 - 6000/ Per Person Kedarnath Weather – Due to its high altitude the weather in Kedarnath remains cold for most part of the year. Summer here is cool and pleasant while winter is severe. During summer season the temperature varies around 20°Celsius. Light woolen wear is recommended. Winter season in Kedarnath is severe with mercury falling to as low as 0°Celsius. During this time the place experiences snowfall as well. Due to the extreme climatic conditions, this time is usually avoided by tourists.
Day 7 : KEDARNATH – GUPTKASHI (30KMS BY ROAD & 14 KMS TREK ONE WAY)
In Morning, After performing Pooja & Darshan of Shri Kedarnath ji Return back to guptkashi. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel at guptkashi.
Day 8 : GUPTKASHI – JOSHIMATH (130 KM/4 TO 5 HRS)
After morning breakfast check out from hotel and start your journey to Badrinath dham via Joshimath. Check in hotel at Joshimath. Dinner and overnight stay at Joshimath.
Day 9 : JOSHIMATH – BADRINATH - JOSHIMATH (40 KM / 2 Hours)
Morning after breakfast, drive to Badrinath. Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in evening. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus), After badrinath dham darshan return back to Joshimath. Dinner and Overnight stay at Joshimath. Badrinath Weather: The average maximum temperature will be around 18° Celsius and the average minimum is 8° Celsius. Warm and woolen clothes are hence required for a stay in Badrinath throughout the year. Winter in Badrinath is often accompanied by snow falls. Winter is very chilly with an average temperature of 5° Celsius. Due to the extreme climatic conditions, this time is usually closed for tourists.
Day 10 : JOSHIMATH – HARIDWAR (280 KM/7 TO 8 Hours)
After Morning breakfast Check out from and start your journey to Haridwar enroute visiting Vishnuprayag, Karnprayag, Nandprayag, Rudraprayag devprayag and Rishikesh. Then drop at Haridwar.
Daily breakfast and dinner. (MAPAI)
